Megan Gram - Development Director

Megan has been working in the field of animal welfare for over 15 years. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Outdoor Recreation and Resource Management from Indiana University, but has not made much use of it... Her passion for animal welfare began when a volunteer position cleaning cat kennels at the local spay/neuter clinic set her on the path to helping people and pets receive access to affordable veterinary care.
Megan served as the Executive Director for Bend Spay+Neuter Project for eight years and then joined the Animal Balance team in 2018 as their Development Director. During a brief hiatus from Animal Balance, Megan was the Director of Maddie's Pet Program of Nevada via the Dave and Cheryl Duffield Foundation and Executive Director of Saving Grace Pet Adoption Center, a rural, open admission animal shelter in Roseburg, Oregon, for three years. Megan's heart never truly left Animal Balance and she remained on the Board of Directors from 2018 to 2023. She returned as the Director of the Pacific Region in April of 2023. Megan shares her life with her sweet, sassy Pittie named Sam, a little corn dog/chicken nugget boy named Ollie and a big orange tabby named Alvin.
