Megan Gram - Development Director

Megan has been working in the field of animal welfare for 18 years. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Outdoor Recreation and Resource Management from Indiana University, but has not made much use of it... Her passion for animal welfare began when a volunteer position cleaning cat kennels at the local spay/neuter clinic inspired her to shift her career focus to animal welfare.

Megan served as the Executive Director for Bend Spay+Neuter Project for eight years and then joined the Animal Balance team in 2018 as their Development Director. During that time she also worked as the Development Director for Fences for Fido and served on the Board of Herd You Needed A Home Dog Rescue. During a three year hiatus from Animal Balance, Megan was the Director of Maddie's Pet Program of Nevada and then the Executive Director of Saving Grace Pet Adoption Center, a rural, open admission animal shelter in Roseburg, Oregon.

Megan's heart never truly left Animal Balance however, and she remained on the Board of Directors from 2018 to 2023. She returned as the Director of the Pacific Region in April of 2023 and has since become the Director of Operations. Megan shares her life with her partner, Sal, a brown dog named Ollie and a sassy little Bully named Mabel.
